Women of Melbourne 2017

26 May, 2017

beyondblue was this years charity partner for Maha’s annual event, Women of Melbourne.

Women of Melbourne, and it’s twin event – Men of Melbourne, are the brainchild of Shane Delia and Catchy MMM. The aim of these events is to not only financially support a rotating selection of important charities but to empower leaders in our community to affect change within their extended networks.

A key moment of Women of Melbourne 2017 was having Olympians Libby Trickett and Leisel Jones discuss their personal battles with depression and anxiety. They emphasised the need to fight negative stigma in the community.

Also attending was beyondblue Chair and Former Prime Minister, The Hon Julia Gillard, who assisted with the raffle draw as well as bring home the beyondblue message. Laughter erupted when Ms. Gillard drew her own name as the major prize winner! She has since donated the prize back to beyondblue.

Our most sincere gratitude to our guests and partners for making the day a success!
